Resumo Alternativo: The process of separating, sorting and weighing chicken cuts in slaughterhouses is
carried out through conveyor belts coupled with a dynamic weighing system, in order to meet
the demands of the consumer market, especially the external market. This work deals with the
automation of this process in order to guarantee greater reliability, safety and final quality in
the process of separation of the items in a slaughterhouses line. Its main function is to classify
the weighted part by the criterion of weight range, already stipulated previously in the
configuration of the machine through a graphical interface. The system consists of modern
controllers, drives and sensors, of consolidated brands in the field of automation, available in
the market and developed with focus on the automation of industrial processes. The
integration of these devices has resulted in a modern and robust system with a maximum
weighing capacity of 2000g and error below 2g in 85% of weighings at a speed of 125 pieces
per minute. In addition, it enables instant configuration, miscellaneous information
visualization and data delivery to the production management system.

Resumo Alternativo: Brazil is one of the biggest milk producers in the world, but, even thou, Brazilian
productive chain cannot be considered specialized, as it is composed mostly of small
producers, without the use of technology, and presenting a very low productivity when
compared to the other leaders of production. Currently, most of the technology that is offered
to this area is aimed at the big producers, with a lot of functionalities and a very high
implementation cost. This article is aimed to accomplish a system to monitor the milk
production that is simple, effective and cheap, aimed at the small and medium producers. The
system acquires the milking time, the temperature and the milk volume, using a real time
clock, a temperature sensor and a flow sensor positioned at the milking machine. The
acquired data is then sent to a database using a Wi-Fi network, where, afterwards, they can be
accessed through a web application. The application allows the producer to monitor and
follow his production, showing the performance of every animal that was milked.

Resumo Alternativo: Visually impaired people make up a large part of the world's population and in response
to this, several researchers have been developing technologies to aid them. Since the emergence
of electronics, equipment of various levels of complexity have become fundamental items in
the daily lives of such people. The prototype created aims to detect objects through ultrasonic
sensors, similarly to what is done in mobile robotics, and alert the user to the presence of an
obstacle through vibration motors, not compromising the hearing, which is quite usual to see in
other projects, as it is a very important sense to the blind people’s commute. The operating logic
refers to the parking sensors present in vehicles, which are based on the relationship between
the distance of the obstacle and the intensity of the alert that is noticed by the user, it means that
the vibration amplitude is proportionally inverted to the distance of the obstacle. Aiming a better
usability and practicality, it was made to be worn on the head and its structure could be attached
to an accessory, such as a hat, for example, leaving the user’s hands free to enjoy other methods
of obstacle detection. To control the peripherals, two microcontrollers were used, which are
responsible for handling the signals related to the sensors and controlling the vibration motors.
During the test session, it was noticeable that the device, despite being low budget, turned out
to be highly efficient in outdoor environments, where there is no echo. In indoor or more closed
environments, some misread might happen. The prototype, since the beginning of its
development, was thought out to detect obstacles at head height, but, as the sensors have an
angle of detection, the device proved to be able to detect lower obstacles, although it is not that
efficient in these situations.

Resumo Alternativo: This work presents the methods that the generator sets use to synchronize and parallel
with the power network and proposes a solution through the automatic synchronism, where a
controller is responsible for monitoring all functions of the generator set. This theory is based
on a review on synchronous machines, where the constructive aspects of the machine and its
operating principle are treated. It also presents the concepts about the synchronism and
parallelism between synchronous machines and how the generator must behave to perform this
process, besides presenting the norms and laws that govern this procedure when carried out
with the public energy network. Subsequently, the proposed solution is developed for this
process, which presents the components that form the hardware and firmware that will be
responsible for synchronization and parallelism, as well as its internal electrical circuits, the
firmware sketch responsible for taking the necessary control actions and the variables to be
monitored.
